Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is one of the most important temples of Northern Thailand. This temple was built in the late 14th century by the King Geu Na, the sixth of Lanna Kingdom in Meng Rai Dynasty, to be a safekeeping of Buddha’s relic. It is the second class royal temple (Ratchaworawihan Type), located on top of the Doi Suthep Mountain, approximately 15 kilometers out of Chiang Mai. If the weather is clear, you will have some magnificent view of Chiang Mai. The view and the peaceful atmosphere here is worth to visit.
